Terms of Use
Last updated: November 7, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Institute of Innovation LLC ("we", "us") about the YUMYUMMYTR app and website. By using the app, you agree to them. If you got the app from the App Store, Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies.
1. What the app does
YUMYUMMYTR estimates low-carb points for food from photos, barcodes and searches, helps you stay within a daily limit, and (with Pro) suggests daily menus. Points are estimates made with the help of AI and public food data. They can be wrong, so check anything that matters to you.
2. Not medical advice
The app is for general information and personal tracking only. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat or prevent any condition. Talk to your doctor before changing how you eat, especially if you have diabetes or another health condition, are pregnant or breastfeeding, take medication, or are under 18. Stop and get medical help if you feel unwell.
3. Your account
The app creates an anonymous account on your phone. Keep your phone and app store account secure. You can delete your account at any time in Profile → Delete account.
4. Free use and Pro
- Free use includes a small number of photo scans and a daily number of barcode scans and searches. The exact amounts are shown in the app and may change.
- Pro is an auto-renewing subscription (weekly, monthly or yearly, as shown in the app with its price).
- Payment is charged to your App Store or Google Play account when you confirm the purchase.
- The subscription renews automatically unless you turn it off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
- You can manage or cancel the subscription in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Deleting the app does not cancel it.
- If a free trial is offered, any unused part of it ends when you buy a subscription.
- Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their rules.
5. Fair use
Don't misuse the app: no automated or bulk requests, no attempts to break, reverse engineer or overload the service, and no use that breaks the law. We may limit or stop access for misuse.
6. Content
The app, its design, the dot buddy and the content we provide belong to us or our licensors. You keep any rights in the photos you take; you let us process them only to give you results, as described in the Privacy Policy. Some food data comes from Open Food Facts, available under the Open Database License.
7. Changes and availability
We may update, change or stop features. We try to keep the service running but can't promise it will always be available or error-free.
8. Liability
The app is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for decisions you make based on the points or menus. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer law that can't be limited.
9. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and of the state where Institute of Innovation LLC is organized, except where your local consumer law says otherwise.
10. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we'll update the date above. Using the app after a change means you accept the new terms.
